RYZEO: A Product Recommendation Solution For Parts Ecommerce – Insider Interview Series

We’ve recently spoken with an ecommerce solution leader about how personalizaton could benefit online auto and accessories sellers. We interview Russell Miller, COO of Ryzeo, who shares the company’s recommended products solution that can increase ecommerce conversions and revenue. There’s no need to directly integrate into your platform. The Ryzeo option works with tags and lets shoppers know what other products are popular or recommends other accessories or parts as a complement to the part they put in their cart, increasing the chances of more items in the cart and a larger final purchase.

Russell Miller, Chief Operating Officer, Ryzeo

Can you describe your service?

We have a recommendation engine like you would see on Amazon recommended products that is available for your website. It will list products based on the product you’re viewing, based on what other visitors to the site have looked at. It allows  you to see product recommendations that are personalized to you. It also allows you to add blocks that show the most popular products, or products that have gotten many views in the past 30 days.  It’s rules based, and allows you to show products of the same brand or type.  Another way to use it is to show a customer products that they’ve recently viewed.

We also offer email automation / cart abandonment and full-service email campaigns.

What’s your standard ‘elevator pitch’ for your company?

If you want to increase your conversion rate, you should add product recommendations, because it will increase the likelihood of the customer seeing something that they like. We’ve seen it increase the checkout rate on other auto parts sites up to 14 percent.

How do you choose which brands and companies to work with?

We’ve had strong success with auto parts companies, including LM Performance, Suncoast Porsche Parts, Flagship One, and others. Our service acts as a “force multiplier” to grow existing revenue, but there does have to be a base to work from, so we look for businesses with at least 5-10k visitors per month, and $50k/mo in sales.

What are the most common misconceptions people have about your business in general?

People think we have to integrate directly with their ecommerce platform, but that’s not true. We actually just use our own custom tags that can be added into the customer’s existing page template, or we use Google Tag Manager. We don’t need a direct integration with their ecommerce cart.

Also, people wonder about tracking, and we’ve recently added UTM parameters so that any customer clicks on our recommendations will show up in your Google Analytics.

What are the 3 most important things people need to know about your company?

  1. Our systems have been tested over many years with hundreds of customers, and we’re confident in our work (we offer a 3x ROI guarantee).
  2. You need to have a product feed, and then we’ll create the widget scripts and send them to you, and your IT can install it on your page templates.
  3. We have US based support, available on Zoom, that will guide you through the process.

What is your favorite part of the job?

I’m excited by showing customers new ways to grow their sales.

We see more hybrid and EV parts becoming a part of the picture.

Anything else you’d like to share with Spork’s readers?

When you shop at Amazon, and you see recommended products or a list of products you’ve viewed before, do you click on those? Would that be helpful on your own website? You can convert more visitors into buyers with Ryzeo.

Adding recommended products personalizes the customer’s journey and can boost profits.

Summing Up

Ryzeo offers the “Customers who purchased ____ also bought _____!” option for ecommerce auto parts and accessories websites. Ryzeo can also show the site visitor parts they viewed during a previous visit or send emails campaigns to pull would-be customers back. They are focused on increasing revenue for US-based companies with 10,000 or more visitors a month. They want to help you turn window shoppers into buyers, and personalized or popular product recommendations are key to that plan.
